Residents in Ipoh and its surrounding areas are invited to visit the Rahmah Sales Programme which will take place tomorrow and the day after (Wednesday and Thursday, Aug 16 and 17) at the Indera Mulia Stadium grounds, here.

According to the Perak State Secretary's Office, the sales would be in conjunction with the Perak State Government’s Meet The Clients Day Series 7 which will start at 8 am until 10 pm on both days.

Consumers can get various necessities from participating supermarkets at cheaper prices.

Among the items that will be sold are 30 eggs priced at RM8.90, siakap (barramundi) RM8 each, onion 1.5 kg(RM2), potatoes 1.5kg (RM3), FandN sweetened condensed milk (500 grammes) at RM11.10 for 3 cans, XL sized flower crabs RM26 per kg and L sized shrimp at RM24 per kg.

The Rahmah Sales is a programme organised by the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Malaysia (KPDN) that offers savings on daily necessities of up to 30 per cent than the normal price.

It is implemented through a collaboration with industry players in the retail sector such as supermarkets and hypermarkets in selected locations in each parliamentary constituency during the campaign period.
