Cambodia and Australia Explore Economic and Tourism Opportunities

Phnom penh: H.E. Nom Piseth, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Cambodia to Australia, engaged in a pivotal meeting with H.E. Don Farrell, Australian Minister for Trade and Tourism, Special Minister of State and Senator for South Australia. The meeting, held on Wednesday afternoon, focused on enhancing economic and trade relations between Cambodia and Australia. According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, H.E. Nom Piseth was joined by Mrs. Touch Pichet Phalkun, First Secretary, and Ms. Heng Huy Khey, Commercial Attaché. The discussions centered on promoting trade, investment, and business connectivity, particularly in sectors such as agriculture, agro-industry, and supply chains. This dialogue aimed to diversify bilateral trade and encourage mutual economic growth. The conversation also included strategies for bolstering tourism cooperation. Both sides considered infrastructure development and improved direct air connectivity as key factors in strengthening tourism ties between the two nations.
