Cambodia Triathlon Federation (CTF) will organise Phnom Penh International Aquathlon this weekend.
The news was unveiled by Mr. Ngin Sokpanha, CTF Secretary General, adding that the tournament aims to sharpen the capacity of Cambodian athletes and identify the best ones for the national team.
It will also provide a good opportunity for them to expand tie of friendship and solidarity and to further promote Cambodia's Triathlon sector, he added.
To take place at Morodok Techo National Stadium on June 18, the event is expected to attract the participation of 78 athletes for four disciplines.
They are the 1,000 metres swimming and 5 kilometres running for men and women; and 500-metre swimming and 2.5-kilometre running for boys and girls.
The federation is working hard in promoting the Triathlon as well as Duathlon and Aquathlon annually; and sending its athletes to join international sports events.
