Phnom penh: H.E. Kong Kimny has been appointed the new Governor of Mondulkiri, a northeastern province of Cambodia, replacing H.E. Thong Savon. The appointment was made through a royal decree signed on May 23 by Acting Head of State Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen on behalf of His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, H.E. Kong Kimny previously served as Deputy Governor of Kratie province, also located in the northeastern part of the country. This new appointment marks another step in his political career within the Cambodian administrative framework.
