Cambodian Delegation Arrives for UNCLOS Conciliation Commission Meeting in Singapore

Singapore: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia led the Cambodian delegation to the first meeting of the Conciliation Commission under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) with Thailand.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the meeting, held this afternoon, was chaired by Ms. Katrina Cooper, Chairperson of the Conciliation Commission. The Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) participated as the Registry. The Thai delegation was led by H.E. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, representing Thailand.

The meeting marked a significant step in addressing maritime issues between Cambodia and Thailand, as both countries engage in discussions facilitated by the Conciliation Commission under UNCLOS.
