Cambodia and Kazakhstan Forge Stronger Diplomatic and Economic Bonds.


Phnom Penh: Deputy Prime Minister H.E. SOK Chenda Sophea, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia, received a courtesy call from H.E. Kanat TUMYSH, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Cambodia, who resides in Hanoi, Vietnam at the ministry on October 31.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the meeting celebrated the launch of direct flights between Cambodia and Kazakhstan, marking a significant step towards enhancing people-to-people connectivity, tourism, and business opportunities for both nations. This development was highlighted as a key achievement in their diplomatic engagements.

Both representatives reiterated their commitment to advancing the Bilateral Consultation Framework, which serves as a strategic platform aimed at fostering continuous, open dialogue and strengthening both diplomatic and economic ties. They expressed a mutual ambition to explore new trade potentials, particularly in the agricultural se
ctor.

Additionally, they emphasized their dedication to continuing and deepening cooperation, supporting each other in both bilateral and multilateral frameworks, especially within the framework of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA).
