Phnom Penh: Cambodia's Siem Reap province, home to the famous Angkor temples, and the capital Phnom Penh have been named Asia's Best of the Best Destinations 2025 by Tripadvisor, a world-known online platform for travellers. Among the 25 Best of the Best Destinations in Asia for 2025, Siem Reap cultural province was ranked 5th while Phnom Penh, the heart of Cambodia, came in 18th on the list. According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Tripadvisor described these destinations as top spots for good reason, noting that they offer everything travellers are looking for and more. On a global scale, Siem Reap occupies the 14th spot, just behind Cusco of Peru and before Lisbon of Portugal. Tripadvisor conducts an annual award exercise to determine travellers' favourite destinations, based on reviews and ratings collected throughout the year.
