Phnom Penh to Host Inaugural Forum and Exhibition on Tourism for Muslim Travelers in 2026

Phnom penh: The Ministry of Tourism has announced plans to organize the inaugural "Forum and Exhibition of Tourism Adapted to Muslim Travelers in Cambodia 2026," set to take place from July 10 to 12 at the Food Palace (OCIC) in the Chroy Changvar district of Phnom Penh. This event aims to position Cambodia as a secure and welcoming destination for Muslim travelers.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the forum will operate under the theme "The land of kind hearts and a trusted destination for travelers." The event has three primary objectives: positioning Cambodia as a safe and welcoming destination for international travelers, promoting cultural dialogue and mutual understanding between communities, and strengthening regional cooperation by enhancing the tourism sector's understanding of the specific needs and trends of Muslim travelers. This initiative will leverage innovation and resilience in the digital age.

The forum will feature high-level roundtables with participants including officials from the royal government, tourism experts, Muslim community representatives, and leaders from the private sector. These discussions will focus on exchanging best practices, sharing experiences, and developing strategies to ensure sustainable and inclusive growth within Cambodia's tourism ecosystem.

In conjunction with the forum, the Muslim Travelers Tourism Fair will be held at the same venue. This fair will offer a platform to showcase specialized tourism products, culinary offerings, and travel services tailored to Muslim travelers.
