KUALA LUMPUR, Muslims across the country celebrated Maulidur Rasul 2024/1446H with various meaningful programmes and colourful processions by numerous contingents from all walks of life to show love for Prophet Muhammad SAW. In PUTRAJAYA, the national-level celebration themed 'Al-Falah Pemacu Malaysia MADANI,' was held at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre, and graced by the presence of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim and Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, the King and Queen of Malaysia. The event was also attended by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his wife, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, and approximately 6,000 people. In JOHOR, Regent of Johor Tunku Mahkota Ismail lead the state-level Maulidur Rasul procession in Kota Tinggi, accompanied by Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi and State Islamic Religious Committee chairman Mohd Fared Mohd Khalid. Over 8,000 Muslims from 50 contingents from public and private sectors, as well as non-governmental organisations and local communities, joined in the 1.3-kilometre procession which began at 7.30 am from Padang Awam Bukit Kerajaan Kota Tinggi to Masjid Bandar Kota Tinggi.
