Washington d.c.: U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced the arrest of several criminal illegal aliens over the weekend, who were convicted of serious crimes such as murder, indecent liberties with a child, assault, and drug trafficking. According to Homeland Security, Secretary of Homeland Security Markwayne Mullin stated that ICE law enforcement was actively engaged over the weekend in apprehending individuals convicted of severe crimes, including murderers, pedophiles, violent assailants, and drug traffickers. Under the Trump Administration, nearly 70% of ICE arrests involve criminal illegal aliens who have been charged or convicted of crimes within the United States. The list of arrests included Nelson Noe Morena-Almendares from Honduras, convicted of murder in Fairfax, Virginia, and Jose Manuel Montoya-Sanchez from Mexico, convicted of vehicular homicide in Vancouver, Washington. Others arrested were Manuel Landaverde-Figueroa from El Salvador for indecent liberties with a child in Van ce County, North Carolina, and Julio Rodriguez-Ladino from Mexico for attempted murder and other charges in Newport Beach, California. Further arrests were made, including Omar Antonio Rosales-Leon from Mexico for attempted murder in Imperial, California, and Kea Tum from Cambodia for multiple offenses, including assault and firearms possession in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Davidson Athis from Haiti was arrested for first-degree assault in Montgomery, Maryland, and Abel Orozco-Rodriguez from Mexico for cocaine trafficking in Alamance County, North Carolina. Additional arrests included Jesus Ivan Alvarez-Ceteno from Mexico, convicted for conspiracy to distribute cocaine and illegal possession of a machine gun in Dallas, Texas, and Martin Mancilla-Gomez from Mexico for methamphetamine possession with intent to deliver in Buena Vista County, Iowa. Pedro Villegas-Salinas from Mexico was also apprehended for methamphetamine possession with intent to distribute in Nashville, Tennessee. Other individuals arreste d were Jose Luis Fuentes-Cortez from Honduras for multiple charges, including willful discharge of a firearm in Mendota, California, and Jimi Murillo-Vargas from Honduras for various charges, including violation of protective order and unlawful restraint in Enfield, Connecticut. Yao Jian Chen from China was arrested for second-degree robbery in San Francisco, California, and Antonio Cordova-Sajic from Guatemala for lewd conduct in Fort Myers, Florida. The arrests reflect ICE's commitment to fulfilling the mandate to arrest and deport illegal aliens to enhance safety in the United States.
