Phnom penh: His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, has extended congratulations to H.E. Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, on the occasion of Russia Day.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, in a congratulatory message dated June 9, 2026, His Majesty conveyed warm congratulations and best wishes to President Putin and the people of Russia in celebration of the national occasion.

His Majesty highlighted the longstanding friendship between Cambodia and Russia and expressed appreciation for the enduring relations between the two countries. 'The Kingdom of Cambodia appreciates the long-standing friendship between our two countries. I am confident that the bonds of friendship and cooperation between Cambodia and Russia will continue to strengthen in the years ahead, contributing to the well-being of our two peoples and to greater mutual understanding between our nations,' the monarch wrote.

Concluding his message, His Majesty the King conveyed his best wishes for President Putin's good health and well-being, as well as for continued peace and prosperity for the people of the Russian Federation.
