KUALA LUMPUR, The gold futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher today. At the close, spot month July 2024 contract advanced to US$2,350.00 per troy ounce from US$2,336.00 per troy ounce on Tuesday, while August 2024 increased to US$2,366.00 per troy ounce from US$2,352.00 per troy ounce previously. September 2024, October 2024, December 2024, and February 2024 all rose to US$2,366.00 per troy ounce compared to US$2,352.00 per troy ounce previously. Volume widened to 25 lots from 11 lots yesterday, while open interest improved to 40 contracts from 24 contracts previously.
