Food diplomacy, an important part of economic diplomacy of the Royal Government of Cambodia, is a tool to promote the beautiful culture of Cambodia on international scene. H.E. Ms. Eat Sophea, Secretary of State, Personal Adviser to Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN MANET, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and on behalf of H.E. Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, highlighted the significance of food diplomacy when she was presiding over the Closing Ceremony of the 'Culinary Diplomacy Training Course' for 20 diplomats and spouse of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, held here at the National Institute of Diplomacy and International Relations on July 3. Speaking at the function, H.E. Ms. Eat Sophea expressed warm congratulations to the participants who successfully completed the training course and received certificates. She stressed that culinary diplomacy is an important part of economic diplomacy and the Royal Government of Cambodia considers economic diplomacy as its priority task. H.E. Secretary of State has advised the trainees to use food diplomacy as a tool to promote the beautiful culture of Cambodia at international stage and thus benefits returning to our country are export of agricultural products and attracting investment and tourists which is an important part of economic diplomacy of the royal government.
