Siem reap: Cambodian Tourism Minister Huot Hak presided over the 2026 edition of the Green Season Tourism Talk in Siem Reap, organized under the theme: "Tourism Potential, Heritage Sites and Culture during the Green Season", with the aim of showcasing Cambodia's cultural heritage and promoting the Kingdom as a year-round tourist destination.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, this meeting provides a platform for exchange, promoting the sharing of knowledge and experiences in tourism development, while strengthening the promotion of Cambodia's tourism potential and attachment to the nation. The initiative also aims to encourage the preservation of tangible and intangible cultural heritage as well as natural resources, in line with the visions of "Tourism connected to the territory" and "To love the nation, one must know its territory".
The program also helps to strengthen Cambodia's image on the international stage by highlighting the country as a safe, welcoming and warm destination, offering visitors from all over the world hospitality and memorable experiences. On this occasion, the minister recalled that this tourism dialogue program had already been organized several times on the Chaktomuk pedestrian street in Phnom Penh, where it enjoyed strong public support and active participation from international visitors.
This year, the event is of particular importance as it is part of the Green Season 2026 campaign, launched in Siem Reap before being extended to other tourist destinations along the coast and in the northeast of the country, culminating in Phnom Penh, with themes tailored to the specific strengths of each region. Huot Hak emphasized that this program has become a key driver in promoting tourism during the green season, an initiative supported by Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia. This campaign aims to replace the term "low season" with "green season" for the period from May to October.
