Cambodian Jiu-Jitsu Athlete Khan Jessa Grabs a Gold Medal from World IBJJF Championship 2023

Khan Jessa, Cambodian Jiu-Jitsu star athlete, has won a gold medal for Black Belt Division-Light Feather from the World IBJJF Championship 2023 after defeating her Brazilian rival, Thamires Aquino.

The World IBJJF Championship 2023 was held in Long Beach, the United States of America from May 31 to June 4.

The Cambodian-Mexican-American Khan Jessa has earned many world titles in the past few years. She is also Cambodia's gold medalist of Ju-Jitsu World Championship 2022 in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates; 2022 Pen Jiu-Jitsu Championship in the U.S.; Asian Games 2018 in Indonesia; and ASEAN Games 2019 and 2023 in the Philippines and Cambodia, respectively.

The World IBJJF Championship is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu tournament held annually by the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation. The first edition took place in February 1996 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Since 2007, the tournament has been held in California, the U.S.
