Phnom penh: Cambodia’s Ministry of Interior and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea co-hosted a friendly golf tournament on Sunday, underscoring their commitment to deepening diplomatic solidarity and broadening multifaceted cooperation. The event, held on Mar. 22 at Cheon Ohn Golf Resort, was presided over by Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior H.E. Abhisantibindit Sar Sokha and South Korean Ambassador Kim Chang-yong. It brought together 42 participants – 21 representatives from each side – who competed in a spirit of camaraderie, according to National Police Commissioner H.E. Gen. Sar Thet.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the tournament was designed to reflect the robust partnership between the two governments and their peoples while promoting physical well-being and professional networking among senior officials. Deputy Prime Minister Sar Sokha highlighted the enduring bilateral relationship, citing successful collaboration in trade, education, culture, and technology. He particularly emphasised security cooperation as a cornerstone of national stability and citizen safety in both nations.
‘I am confident that today’s friendly match will further solidify our cooperation across all fields,’ H.E. Abhisantibindit Sar Sokha said, adding that the event would serve as a lasting symbol of the growing partnership between Cambodian and South Korean officials.
