Cambodia and Philippines to Strengthen Bilateral Ties and Cooperation


Phnom Penh: Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet and Philippine President H.E. Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. have reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation across multiple sectors.



According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, during the bilateral meeting in Manila this morning, both leaders expressed satisfaction with the strong and long-standing friendship between Cambodia and the Philippines. They emphasised the importance of further enhancing diplomatic ties and fostering greater collaboration for mutual prosperity.



Discussions also covered a wide range of areas, including trade, investment, business, national defence and security, agriculture, health, culture, education, vocational training, and technology. In addition, the two leaders highlighted the significance of strengthening people-to-people connections between the two nations.



Beyond bilateral cooperation, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet and H.E. Marcos Jr. pledged to work closely within ASEAN and other regional and international frameworks to address shared challenges and advance common interests. Moreover, President Marcos Jr. warmly welcomed the Cambodian delegation to the Philippines, while Prime Minister Hun Manet expressed his gratitude for the warm hospitality extended during the visit.
