Phnom penh: Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia, will lead a high-level delegation on an official and friendship visit to the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam from July 27 to 29. The visit is set to advance mutual interests and foster parliamentary cooperation between the two neighboring countries.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, this visit is being made at the invitation of H.E. Tran Thanh Man, Chairman of the Vietnamese National Assembly. The primary aim is to further the spirit of "good neighbourliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term stability" between Cambodia and Viet Nam. During the visit, the Cambodian delegation is expected to hold various high-level meetings and discussions to strengthen bilateral ties.

The official programme outlines that the delegation will pay a courtesy call on H.E. To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam and President of the State of Viet Nam. They will also hold bilateral talks with H.E. Tran Thanh Man, Chairman of the National Assembly, and meet with H.E. Le Minh Hung, Prime Minister. These meetings are expected to focus on enhancing parliamentary cooperation and bringing concrete benefits to both nations.

Furthermore, members of the Cambodian National Assembly's commissions will engage in bilateral meetings with their Vietnamese counterparts. These meetings aim to exchange information, share experiences, and further enhance the collaborative efforts between the two legislatures.

In addition to political discussions, the high-level Cambodian delegation will visit Viettel and Central Military Hospital 108. These visits are intended to strengthen people-to-people ties and enhance cooperation in the digital economy and healthcare sectors, showcasing the multifaceted nature of the bilateral relationship.
