PM Warns Facebook Users Not to Post Any Information Related to National Security

Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has once again warned all Facebook users not to post any information related to national security on Facebook without order or authorisation from the military.

“National security is not a small matter. It cannot be taken as a joke,” said Samdech Techo Hun Sen at a gathering with nearly 20,000 factory workers and employees in Ang Snuol district, Kandal province this morning.

According to the Premier, there were no drones, but commercial aircrafts flying into Cambodian airspace last night, however two Facebook accounts posted about drones’ encroachment in Banlung city, Rattanakiri province. The posts were later on removed.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen thus asked all Facebook users not to post without authorisation any national security-related information.

The Prime Minister once again announced to suspend his Facebook page by using his Telegram channel instead, which has now almost 860,000 subscribers, the second highest number of subscribers among world leaders, just behind the Ukrainian president who has about 900,000 subscribers.

Besides Facebook and Telegram, Samdech Techo Hun Sen also has TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter accounts.
