PM Appreciates Royal Government Working Groups’ Achievements

Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has expressed his high appreciation for the achievements of the Royal Government Working Groups in the 6th mandate.

In his closing remarks at a meeting to review the activities and outcomes of the Royal Government Working Groups for the capital and provinces held this afternoon at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said Cambodia had been successfully maintained peace, political stability, public order throughout the country, especially ensured macroeconomic stability in a situation where the regional and global situation is changing rapidly and dangerously, especially the Russia-Ukraine war, along with the outbreak of COVID-19, climate change, and so on.

The Royal Government has been actively implementing the reform programmes in governance, public administration, public financial management, decentralisation and deconcentration, legal and judicial sector, etc. to enhance the public sector and an equitable and sustainable socio-economic development, he affirmed.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen also re-emphasised the Royal Government’s sharp measures to effectively and timely control the COVID-19 pandemic as well as measures to restore and boost the economic growth affected by the crisis, and strengthen the social protection system to assist the poor and vulnerable households.

As the world situation is evolving rapidly, he stressed, the Royal Government has carried out an independent, rule-based foreign policy that is flexible to respond to geopolitical pressures, ensuring independence, national sovereignty, peace and stability for the benefit of the Cambodian nation and people.
