New Turkish Ambassador Pays Courtesy Visit to Cambodian PM

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received here at the Peace Palace this morning a courtesy call from H.E. Ms. Ülkü Kocaefe, newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Cambodia.

According to H.E. Eang Sophalleth, Assistant to the Cambodian Premier, in the courtesy meeting, both sides spoke highly of the cooperation between Cambodia and Türkiye and shared the same idea that both countries still have room for cooperation.

H.E. Ms. Ülkü Kocaefe conveyed greetings from the Turkish president to Samdech Techo Hun Sen, and pledged to do her best to further strengthen and expand the friendship and cooperation between both nations.

The trade office to be opened at the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye will boost the cooperation between the two countries in the bilateral, regional and global frameworks, she underlined.

For his part, the Cambodian Prime Minister congratulated H.E. Ms. Ülkü Kocaefe on her appointment as Ambassador of Türkiye to Cambodia, and welcomed the trade office which, he hoped, will further study and seek the bilateral cooperation on economy, trade and investment, the foundation for the cooperation in other domains.

H.E. Ms. Ülkü Kocaefe presented her credentials to His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, at the Royal Palace on July 22, 2022.
