MoU Signed to Advance Digital Skills and Support Cambodia’s MSMEs

Phnom penh: The Chamber of Professional and Micro Enterprises of Cambodia (CPMEC) and Educational Broadcasting Cambodia (EBC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen digital education and skills development for entrepreneurs and micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Cambodia.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the signing ceremony, held at EBC headquarters on Aug. 20, 2026, was chaired by H.E. Sok Puthyvuth, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC). The MoU outlines mechanisms and areas of cooperation aimed at supporting the development of micro and medium-sized businesses while improving the effectiveness of teaching and learning through digital technology, as stated by CPMEC.

The partnership aligns with the Royal Government of Cambodia's vision of achieving the upper-middle-income status by 2030. Under the agreement, the two sides will collaborate to produce short- and medium-length digital videos to promote quality education and training for entrepreneurs and MSMEs in Cambodia. The cooperation will also focus on developing the hard and soft skills of CPMEC members and relevant stakeholders.

Additionally, the MoU aims to promote the use of digital technology and media in the development of small and medium-sized enterprises, contributing to local economic development and helping reduce the digital divide in Cambodia. The agreement reflects efforts to expand digital tools in education and business development, particularly in strengthening the capacity of entrepreneurs and MSMEs to adapt to a digital economy.
