JOHOR BAHRU, Johor Corporation (JCorp), through Johor Skills Development Centre (Johor Skills), has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Divestuff International for strategic advancements in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) within the high-stakes realm of diving and underwater welding technology.
JCorp Chief Corporate Services Officer Mohd Nordin Jamaludin said the joint venture seeks to combine Johor Skills' proven expertise in technical training with Divestuff International's vast industry know-how to stimulate economic expansion and generate employment opportunities.
“Johor Skills has been a cornerstone in technical skills training for the past 30 years and we have equipped countless individuals with the competencies required across various industries.
“With this partnership, we aim to be the premier professional training centre in southern Malaysia, meeting international standards in the field of diving and underwater welding technology, while at the same time adding further value to the TVET ecosystem,” he said in a statement today.
Mohd Nordin added this strategic partnership is not only a new chapter but a significant milestone for Johor Skills and will pave the way for individuals to acquire high-value technical skills.
