Head of Diplomats to Attend the 59th ASEAN Foreign Minister in the Philippines

Manila: Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister, H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, will lead a delegation to attend the 59th ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting (AMM) and related meetings in the Philippines, according to a press release received this morning.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, under the theme "Navigating our Future, Together," the meetings will be held from July 18-23, 2026, in Manila. H.E. Prak Sokhonn will participate in discussions and follow up on the outcomes of the 48th ASEAN Summit. The meeting will provide a platform for ASEAN and its external partners to exchange views on regional and international developments amid an increasingly complex and evolving geopolitical landscape.

Following the 59th AMM and related meetings, the Deputy Prime Minister will take part in the Commemorative Activity of the 50th Anniversary of the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC). This event marks five decades of the Treaty, which has been pivotal for regional peace, stability, and cooperation, reaffirming ASEAN's enduring principles in a changing regional and global context.

Additionally, the Deputy Prime Minister will attend meetings under the Mekong framework and the 5th Conference on Cooperation among East Asian Countries for Palestinian Development. On the sidelines, he will engage in bilateral meetings with various counterparts to further enhance bilateral relations and cooperation.
