H.E. Prak Sokhonn to Represent Cambodia at the Presidential Duties Initiation Ceremony in Türkiye

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation H.E. Prak Sokhonn in his capacity as the High Representative of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia will attend the Ceremony of Initiation of the Presidential Duties of the Republic of Türkiye to be held in Ankara on June 3.

The attendance will be made at the invitation of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, pointed out a press release of the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

“Cambodia and Türkiye have enjoyed robust and cordial bonds of friendship and dynamic, close cooperation in wide-ranging domains of mutual interest,” the source said. “The presence of H.E. Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn at the aforementioned significant function will contribute to further fortifying the mutual political trust and elevating the flourishing relations between the two countries.”

Cambodia and Türkiye established their diplomatic relations in 1959. Türkiye opened its embassy in Phnom Penh in 2013, while the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Ankara was inaugurated last year.
