KUALA LUMPUR, The gold futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower today.
At the close, the spot month July 2024 contract eased to US$2,387.00 per troy ounce from US$2,388.60 per troy ounce yesterday.
Contracts for August 2024, September 2024, October 2024, December 2024, and February 2025 also decreased to US$2,400.40 per troy ounce from US$2,402.00 per troy ounce previously.
Volume rose to 36 lots from 11 lots on Monday, while open interest increased to 58 contracts from 36 contracts previously.
The price of physical gold stood at US$2,391.10 per troy ounce, according to the London Bullion Market Association’s afternoon fix on July 29.
