KUALA LUMPUR, The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives is likely to move in tandem with the underlying cash market next week. Dealers said the local bourse is likely to see cautious trading as investors monitor global developments, especially the global tech outage. For the week just ended, spot month July 2024, August 2024 and December 2024 leapt 14.5 points to 1,640.0, 1,643.0 and 1,626.5, respectively, while December 2024 jumped 15.5 points to 1,634.0. During the week, turnover sank to 22,558 lots from 34,586 lots in the previous week, while open interest eased to 50,832 contracts from 54,205 contracts previously. On a Friday-to-Friday basis, the FBM KLCI added 17.49 points to 1,636.55 from last week's 1,619.06. Source: BERNAMA News Agency
