Enserv Holding Australia Intends to Invest in Sorghum Growing and Processing in Cambodia

Enserv Holding Australia is willing to invest in growing and processing sorghum -a nutrient-rich, high-fiber food crop - in Cambodia. While paying a courtesy visit to Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, on the sidelines of the ASEAN-Australia Special Summit in Melbourne this morning, Mr. Tanachat Pochana, Founder and Chairman of Enserv Holdings said his company's investment activities focus on the cultivation and processing of sorghum into low-calorie, but high-protein rice and into biogas. According to Mr. Tanachat Pochana, sorghum is a high yielding crop that can be grown on many different types of soil and does not need as much water as rice. This crop can contribute to the absorption of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere as well. For his part, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet expressed his appreciation for the discussion and briefed his guest on the Royal Government of Cambodia's policy on agriculture, energy, and technology development. Regarding the Enserv Holding Australi a's investment intention, the Premier encouraged the company to pay a visit to Cambodia to explore investment opportunities by collaborating with relevant ministries and institutions, especially the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, the Council for the Development of Cambodia and the Ministry of Commerce.
