Cambodia this morning announced the detection of 10 new cases of COVID-19, after 52 days of zero infection, according to a press release of the Ministry of Health.

Of the new cases, 2 were imported and 8 others are locally transmitted cases, the same source pointed out.

The tally now rose to 136,272, of which 133,206 have been recovered, but 3,056 have lost their lives.

In a special voice message last night, Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen urged his compatriots to continue carrying out the health safety rules, particularly the Three Dos, Three Don’ts, and to get the booster doses to avoid the family, community and institutional transmission.

The first COVID-19 case was found in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province.
