H.E. Li Qiang, Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, has congratulated H.E. Kitti Tesaphibal Pundit Hun Manet on assuming the office of Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
“On behalf of the Chinese Government and in my own name, I wish to extend my warmest congratulations on your assumption of the office as Prime Minister of the new government of the Kingdom of Cambodia,” he wrote in his message dated Aug. 22.
The Chinese Premier spoke highly of excellent relationship between China and Cambodia, stressing that they are neighbours who share a bond of brotherhood, friends who treat each other with all sincerity.
Over the years, he continued, the two countries have supported each other's efforts in promoting stability and prosperity while joining hands to uphold international fairness and justice, vividly demonstrating the profound connotation of China-Cambodia Community with a Shared Future and setting up a role model for a new type of international relations.
“China firmly supports Cambodia in pursuing a path suited to its national condition, and believes that under Your Excellency and the new government's leadership, the fraternal Cambodian people will no doubt enjoy greater prosperity,” he underlined.
The Chinese leader also affirmed his readiness to work with H.E. Kitti Tesaphibal Pundit Hun Manet to carry forward the traditional friendship, deepen cooperation and jointly build high-quality, high-level and high-standard China-Cambodia Community with a Shared Future to the benefits of the two peoples, following the strategic direction set out by H.E. Xi Jinping. President of China, His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, and Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, former Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
Other world leaders, including those of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Republic of Ghana, Brunei Darussalam, and so on have also sent their respective congratulatory messages to H.E. Kitti Tesaphibal Pundit Hun Manet.
