Electric Vehicle Charge Point Operator ChargeSini has just switched on its largest EV charging hub at The Curve in Mutiara Damansara.
Chargehere EV Solution Sdn Bhd in a statement today said the location has a total of four direct current (DC) fast chargers with two nozzles each, allowing up to eight EVs to be charged at the same time.
“The ChargeSini chargers at The Curve are located at B1 Car Park near Pillar N6. You can activate the charger via the ChargeSini app which is available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The app accepts credit or debit cards for payment,” the statement said.
For this location, it said ChargeSini and Sangitech have deployed four units of Autel 47 kilowatt (kW) DC chargers, which come with two Combined Charging System Combo 2 (CCS2) connectors each.
According to the statement, ChargeSini offers RM0.46 per minute below 23 kw and RM0.94 per minute for a maximum of 47 kw, depending on the charging rate.
“This means a 30-minute charge at 47 kW will cost you RM28.2 for approximately 23 kilowatts per hour (kWh) worth of charge,” it said.
ChargeSini promotes a reservation system where drivers can book a charging spot in advance as each charging bay is secured by an automated parking barrier.
“To mitigate hoggers, ChargeSini also imposes an idle fee of RM1 for every five minutes if your vehicle has completed charging and is not moved within 15 minutes.
“From our charging experience at The Curve, we charged the Kia EV6 from 31 per cent to 80 per cent or 38.8 kWh, with a charging rate of 23 kW at RM0.46 per minute,” it said.
Chargehere EV Solution said the charge, which took 100 minutes to complete, calculates to RM1.20 per kWh, which, according to the company, is quite affordable for DC charging
