Cambodia’s Stock of COVID-19 Vaccines Reaches Nearly 12 Million Doses

Cambodia has currently almost 12 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines in stock, said Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen.

“With the stock of 6.5 million doses plus the China-donated 5 million doses which arrived here yesterday and the previous day, we now have nearly 12 million doses in stock, after more than 92 percent of the total population [of 16 million] have been inoculated with the basic doses against the COVID-19 pandemic,” he said at the official inauguration ceremony of Chom Chao flyover and underpass in Phnom Penh this morning.

If nothing changes, Samdech Techo Hun Sen continued, around 1 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine from Italy will arrive in Cambodia on April 6, and then another one million doses from Poland. The U.S. has also committed some 7.5 million doses for Cambodia this year, he added.

Samdech Techo Prime Minister called for an acceleration of the booster dose administration in order to build strong herd immunity and reminded people of strict adherence to the health safety rules, especially the “Three Dos, Three Don’ts”.
