Cambodian PM Welcomes Election Observers

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has extended warm welcome to all the observers for the upcoming National Election in Cambodia.

“On behalf of the Royal Government, I warmly welcome all the 333 excellencies from 65 countries and international institutions who are visiting the Kingdom of Cambodia to observe the 7th National Assembly general election, to be held on Sunday, July 23, 2023,” he said in a message on his social media networks this morning.

At the same time, Samdech Techo Hun Sen thanked the speaker of the Parliament of Malaysia and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau for the direct observation.

The Cambodian Premier also expressed thanks to the 11 former heads of state, heads of government, former presidents and vice presidents of the National Assembly for taking the time to travel to Cambodia to witness the democratic process in Cambodia.

Cambodia has already organised the general election for six times, and the seventh general election in 2023 has received the largest number of foreign observers and the highest number of dignitaries, Samdech Techo Hun Sen underlined.
