Cambodian PM Holds Bilateral Talks with Myanmar Supreme Leader.


Kunming: Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Sen. Gen. Min Aung Hlaing, Chairman of the State Administration Council of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, in Kunming, China’s Yunnan province on Nov. 6, during their stay for a series of summits there.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, H.E. Sen. Gen. Min Aung Hlaing updated the Cambodian Premier on the general political situation and the preparations for the upcoming general elections in Myanmar. He also expressed gratitude to Cambodia for sharing experiences and some concepts on the resolution to the Myanmar crisis.

In response, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet thanked the Myanmar supreme leader for the update, expressing hope that the crisis in Myanmar would be resolved peacefully in the near future. He emphasized the importance of inclusive dialogue and the implementation of ASEAN’s 5-Point Consensus.

The bilateral discussions also touched on the relations between Cambodia
and Myanmar, with a focus on key areas such as trade and people-to-people contacts.
