Cambodia to Host 20th Asia Media Summit in Siem Reap This July

Phnom Penh: In partnership with the Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD), Cambodia will host the 20th Asia Media Summit (AMS) from July 20 to 25 in Siem Reap province. Cambodia’s Minister of Information H.E. Neth Pheaktra and AIBD Secretariat Director Mrs. Philomena Gnanapragasam formalized the collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Phnom Penh on Feb. 12.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Siem Reap, known for its cultural heritage and historical landmarks, will once again welcome media professionals from around the world. Cambodia previously hosted the 16th Asia Media Summit in 2019, also in Siem Reap, under the theme ‘Media Digitalisation – Focusing on Developing Markets’. That event drew approximately 600 media representatives from 42 countries and regions.

The upcoming summit is expected to bring together industry leaders, policymakers, and media professionals to discuss the evolving landscape of media and broadcasting in the Asia-Pacific region.
