Cambodia to Host 2026 FrancoTech Innovation Competition, Applications Now Open

Phnom penh: The Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC) has officially opened applications for the FrancoTech Innovation Competition 2026, an international event that will bring together innovators from 90 Francophone countries. Cambodia is set to host this year's competition on Nov. 15 at the Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Centre in Phnom Penh. The event marks the first time the competition is being held in Cambodia, following its 2024 edition in France.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the competition offers innovators a platform to present digital products, services, and solutions focused on digital technologies. Participants will have the opportunity to compete for internationally recognised awards and gain global exposure.

Award categories for 2026 include Best Digital Innovation and Best Women Technopreneurs. MPTC is encouraging innovators, digital startups, and entrepreneurship communities with innovative digital offerings that contribute to digital transformation across the Francophone community to apply for the competition.

Key dates for the competition have been announced, with the application deadline set for Sept. 1, 2026. The semi-finals are scheduled for Sept. 16, 2026, and the finals along with the award presentation will take place on Nov. 15, 2026. The competition is organised by the MPTC, with support from the CBRD Fund and in partnership with Metfone.
