Cambodian athlete, Dit Samnang, has won a silver medal from the Beach Wrestling World Series held in Singapore on June 10-11, 2023 with the participation of 37 countries.
Dit Samnang got the medal in the women’s 50kg category after losing to her Romanian opponent, the Wrestling Federation of Cambodia pointed out.
In scoring rounds, the same source added, Dit Samnang defeated her rivals from Kenya, France, Spain, and China.
According to its online source, Beach Wrestling World Series was introduced in 2018, marking the beginning of a new era for the sport, presenting it in a new setting, focusing not only on high level sports but lifestyle, fan and spectator experience as well as entertainment.
This year, the World Series will be hosted on three continents: South America, Asia and Europe.
