The American Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia (AmCham Cambodia) is committed to further strengthening and expanding its cooperation with the Royal Government of Cambodia. The commitment was made known here at the Peace Palace this morning when Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, received Mr. Devin Barta, President of AmCham Cambodia, and his colleagues. On the occasion, Mr. Devin Barta thanked the Royal Government of Cambodia for always facilitating and ensuring a better investment environment for the U.S. businesses in the Kingdom, and highly appreciated the openness and cooperation between Cambodian ministries and institutions and AmCham Cambodia. Mr. Barta also informed Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet about some of the activities of AmCham Cambodia, including the promotion of investment and trade relations between the Kingdom and the U.S. For his part, the Premier lauded the good cooperation between AmCham Cambodia and the Royal Government and thanked the American companies f or always believing and investing in Cambodia, which is an important contribution to the Kingdom's socio-economic development. Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet encouraged AmCham Cambodia to continue fostering its cooperation with Cambodian relevant ministries and institutions, and emphasised the Royal Government's attention and commitment to ensure a good investment environment in Cambodia, such as strengthening the resilience of economic and financial system, and expanding modern payment method using QR code under the framework of the Free Trade Agreement between Cambodia with many countries in the region and the world. In addition, Samdech Thipadei highlighted the attractiveness of the Law on Investment of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the incentive policy for investors and businesspeople, which ensures the favorable condition and flexibility of investment environment in the country. He also laid stress on the investment opportunities in High-Tech Industrial Park, on which the Royal Government is focusing as par t of its efforts in digital development.
