ACC-UNESCO Cooperation Extended, CPP to Host ICAPP and ACC Meetings in 2024

The Asian Cultural Council (ACC), chaired by the President of the Cambodian National Assembly, Samdech Moha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, will extend its five-year cooperation with UNESCO.

The Permanent Committee of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) made the decision during its 40th gathering on Oct. 13-16.

Taking place in Kathmandu, Nepal, the 40th ICAPP was organised back-to-back with the 5th Meeting of Asia-Europe Political Forum on Oct. 13-16 in Kathmandu, Nepal.

H.E. Suos Yara, First Vice Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the ruling Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) and Asian Cultural Council (ACC) Director General, led a Cambodian delegation to attend the events.

The ICAPP Permanent Committee also entrusted the CPP to continue leading the permanent committee as well as the ICAPP Youth Forum and to host the 12th ICAPP and 3rd ACC meetings and related meetings in November next year.

The 40th ICAPP and the 5th Meeting of Asia-Europe Political Forum were hosted by the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) with the participation of 26 political parties from 16 countries in Asia and Europe.

The Cambodian People's Party hosted the 6th ICAPP in December 2010.
