Samsung SDS Co. on Thursday reported its first-quarter net profit of 216.9 billion won (US$157.6 million), up 4.1 percent from a year earlier. The company said in a regulatory filing that it posted 225.9 billion won in operating profit for the quarter, compared with 194.3 billion won a year ago. Revenue fell 4.5 percent to 3.24 trillion won. The operating profit was 7.0 percent higher than the average estimate, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
