Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence, Samdech Pichey Sena Tea Banh, will lead a high-ranking delegation of Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) to attend the 19th Asia Security Summit (IISS Shangri-La Dialogue 2022) from June 10-12 in Singapore.
The participation will be made at the invitation of Dr. John Chipman, Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), according to a press release of the Ministry of National Defence.
Samdech Tea Banh will deliver a keynote address at the 4th plenary session on Military Modernisation and New Defense Capabilities by focusing on challenges arising from regional rapid military development, and functions that these new capabilities can play a role in maintaining regional balance and stability.
As the Chair of ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting (ADMM) and Related Meetings in 2022, Samdech Tea Banh will also highlight Cambodia’s stance in an effort to enhance the role and solidarity of ASEN in dealing with challenges to security in line with the ADMM theme “Solidarity for Harmonised Security”.
