Phnom Penh: H.E. Igor Krasnov, Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation, embarked on a significant two-day working visit to Cambodia, marking the first such visit in the history of cooperation between the two nations’ law enforcement authorities. H.E. Krasnov was warmly received at the airport by H.E. Mrs. Chea Leang, Prosecutor General of the Supreme Court of the Kingdom of Cambodia, along with H.E. Anatoly Borovik, the Russian Ambassador to Cambodia, and leaders from the Cambodian Ministry of Justice.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, this historic visit involves crucial discussions aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation. In Phnom Penh, H.E. Igor Krasnov is set to engage in talks with heads of relevant institutions and other officials to address issues of mutual interest. The visit is also expected to culminate in the signing of several documents designed to strengthen and further develop the relationship between Russia and Cambodia.
H.E. Krasnov commenced his visit by honoring Cambodian heritage and leadership, laying wreaths at the Independence Monument and the Royal Statue of His Majesty the late King-Father Preah Bat Samdech Preah Norodom Sihanouk.
