ROK Interested in Cambodia’s Logistics Sector

The Republic of Korea (ROK) has been committed to enhancing and strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation with Cambodia, particularly in the field of logistics.

The commitment was made by H.E. Dr. PARK Jung-Wook, Ambassador of ROK to Cambodia, while paying a courtesy call on H.E. Sun Chanthol, Senior Minister and Minister of Public Works and Transport, at the ministry office yesterday afternoon.

On the occasion, H.E. Sun Chanthol informed his guests about the completion of Master Plan on Intermodal Transport and Logistics Connectivity of Cambodia which will make the logistics and shipping costs in the country more competitive.

Taking the opportunity, the Cambodian Minister thanked the ROK for always assisting Cambodia in its development, mainly in transport infrastructure and human resource development. He also mentioned about the Cambodia-ROK Friendship Bridge project (Old Market-Chroy Changvar-Arey Ksat) which will become an attraction of Phnom Penh capital and a symbol of friendship between the two countries.

For his part, H.E. Dr. PARK Jung-Wook lauded the rapid progress and development of Cambodia in all sectors, especially noticeable transport infrastructure.

The Korean ambassador firmly affirmed to strengthen the bilateral relations and cooperation between both countries, and pledged to attract more Korean investors to invest in Cambodia’s logistics sector in particular.

H.E. Dr. PARK Jung-Wook also praised Cambodia for recently successful hosting of the 32nd SEA Games and the upcoming 12th ASEAN Para Games, which has enhanced Cambodia’s prestige on international arena.
