Restoration of Bakong Temple’s 7th Tower 90% Complete

APSARA National Authority's restoration team has been restoring the seventh dilapidated brick tower on the north side of Bakong Temple in Siem Reap province, and the work is now more than 90 percent complete.

The update was shared by the APSARA National Authority in a news release issued yesterday.

Some of the remaining work include repairing and strengthening the structure of the upper wall, and sealing the cracks in the wall to prevent water seepage, it added.

The restoration work, which began in March 2022, is scheduled to be completed before the end of 2022, the authority pointed out.

The APSARA National Authority has been working on many restoration sites to preserve the ancient temples for the younger generations as well as to attract more national and international tourites.
