Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen today extended his deepest condolences to the family of legendary Ayay singer Toeung Vann, known as Ta Salat, who passed away this morning.

"I and my spouse are very saddened to learn that Mr. Toeung Vann, aka Ta Salat, a legendary Ayay singer, passed away on June 18, at 8:00 am at the age of 81 years old," wrote Samdech Techo Hun Sen in his condolence letter.

This is the loss of a great artist who has promoted Cambodian culture, especially the art of Ayay, he underlined.

Lokta Salat is one of the well-known artists who have devoted their life for the legendary Ayai, a unique traditional Khmer comedian song.
