Phnom penh: Phnom Penh is hosting the China-Cambodia Commodity Trade Fair 2025 from Sept. 28 to 30 at the Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Centre.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the event is organised by Cambodian Frank Inman Exhibition Co., Ltd., and was officially opened on Sunday by H.E. Samheng Bora, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Commerce. The ceremony saw participation from representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce, the American Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia, the Foreign Business Association in Cambodia, and entrepreneurs and investors from Cambodia and China.
H.E. Samheng Bora, in his opening remarks, acknowledged the efforts of Cambodian Frank Inman Exhibition Co., Ltd. for successfully organising the event and selecting Cambodia as the host nation. He highlighted the fair as a testament to the economic and trade cooperation progress between Cambodia and China, emphasizing the increasing demand among Cambodian consumers for Chinese products such as electrical appliances, electronics, construction materials, furniture, and household goods.
The Secretary of State also pointed out the robust and enduring diplomatic, economic, and trade relations between Cambodia and China. He noted that the frequent reciprocal visits and participation in high-level meetings by leaders from both countries underscore the importance placed on reinforcing their ‘ironclad friendship’ and ‘diamond cooperation framework.’
After the opening ceremony, H.E. Samheng Bora and other delegates visited the exhibition booths, where they engaged with various companies interested in distributing Chinese products within Cambodia.
