The Phnom Penh Autonomous Port (PPAP) saw its revenue rise by 35 percent to nearly US$20 million in the first semester of 2022.

H.E. Hei Bavy, the PPAP Director General, attributed the increase to the growth in exports of garment and agricultural products to international markets

“PPAP always adheres to the provision of port services to customers with transparency and speed to respond effectively and with high confidence to their needs,” he said.

The port handled the throughput of containers at 250,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU) during the first six months of this year, up 39.70 percent compared to the same period in 2021.

For 2021, Phnom Penh Autonomous Port earned about US$12 million.

The Ministry of Public Works and Transport has just launched Japan-financed Port Electronic Data Interchange (Port EDI) system at the PPAP and Sihanoukville Autonomous Port (PAS). The system is aimed to improve effectiveness, efficiency, transparency and cost-saving.
