Pal Chhor Raksmey Earns Another Vovinam Gold Medal

Cambodian Vovinam athlete Ms. Pal Chhor Raksmey this afternoon secured another gold medal in Women's Dual Knife Form event at the 32nd SEA Games being hosted by Cambodia from May 5 to 17.

Ms. Pal Chhor Raksmey broke her own record by winning so far three gold medals.

Cambodia’s gold medal tally now rose to 39, of which 10 in Vovinam, 8 in Kun Bokator, 4 in Chinlone, 3 in Jiu-Jitsu, 2 in Kun Khmer, 2 in Soft Tennis, 2 in E-Sports, 2 in Triathlon, 1 in Ouk Chaktrang (Chess), 1 in Basketball, 1 in Cricket, 1 in Karate, 1 in Pencak Silat, and 1 Billiard.

Twenty-Three (23) types of sports are today's competition list including Cricket, Golf, Ouk Chaktrang (Chess), Petanque, Vovinam, Athletics, Swimming, Badminton, Basketball, E-Sports, Sepak Takraw, Soft Tennis, Tennis, Field Hockey, Pencak Silat, Billard, Table Tennis, Diving, Volleyball, Gymnastic, Boxing, Kun Khmer, and Football.

A 1,203-strong Cambodian delegation, including 896 athletes, have been taking part in the 32nd SEA Games that the Kingdom is hosting for the first time in 64 years under the motto “Sport: Living in Peace”.

Cambodia bagged 63 medals – nine gold, 13 silver and 41 bronze – in the 31st SEA Games in Vietnam in 2022.
