SEOUL, - NH Investment & Securities Co. on Thursday reported its third-quarter net income of 100.7 billion won (US$74.1 million), up 743.9 percent from a year earlier.
Operating profit for the July-September period was 118.4 billion won, up 72.9 percent from a year ago, the company said in a regulatory filing. Revenue fell 30.8 percent to 2.57 trillion won.
The earnings fell short of market expectations. The average estimate of net profit by analysts stood at 117 billion won, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
