Phnom Penh:The National Bank of Cambodia (NBC) has dismissed rumors on social media suggesting that some banking and financial institutions in the country are experiencing difficulties or may face problems soon. The NBC described these claims as unfounded and misleading.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the central bank issued a statement on October 2, emphasizing that such unverified reports could damage public interests and undermine confidence in the banking system.
